An International Week is an exchange project for international students studying economic universities. A number of students from all over the world are invited by students from the host university. Not just students but also student organizations and departmetns of international relations of individual universities in Europe and Asia are participating on the project. IW was organized in Prague for the first time in 2006.
The aim of the project is to show international students during one week the best of the Czech Republic. Individual parts of the program are suited to this target. International students had possibiliy to visit mainly historical monuments, important Czech towns and interesting exhibitions in museums during past years. In this week students participate in numerous activities to get acquainted with the city, the local culture, the local business live, the university and the other students.
Project participants are international students from 24 prestigious universities of mainly economics. These universities are located not just in Euroepe but also in China, Japan, Indonesia, Israel and Turkey. European organizers are our neighbours (Germany, Poland and Austria) and also more distant countries as Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Denmark, Spain and others.
International Week is a great opportunity to meet students from different cultures but also for exchange of information in the field of economics.
