Orientation Week
Orientation Week (OW) is a welcome week organized by Buddy System during which students are provided with all the necessary information about studying and living in Prague. This week always includes trips and other cultural events (as Jewish town, Bowling and Brewery tour) and the whole week is concluded by an Ice-Breaking Weekend.
Ice-Breaking Weekend
Ice-Breaking Weekend is a favourite trip because students from different cultures meet and find friends with whom they register courses and enjoy the whole semester. The aim of this weekend is to “break the ice together”. It means we get to know and break the ice not just between the international students but also between them and the members of Buddy System and also Czech buddies. Teambuilding activities, games, competitions, costume party, minicourse of Czech language and possibly some trips are prepared for the participants. Capacity is limited and it is around 120 students.
International Week Prague
International Week is an exchange project for international students. A number of students from all over the world are invited by students from the host university. In this week students participate in numerous activities to get acquainted with the city, local culture, local business customs, university and other students.

There are about 30 universities presented by either international students from the university or Czech students that have already been at exchange project there.
Information meetings – for Czech students
These meetings are informing students of VŠE about possibilities to participate in Buddy Program – during which they help students that are coming to stay for an exchange studying period in Prague.
Karlštejn
This trip leads us to the impressive gothic Karlštejn Castle, built in the 14th century by Charles IV, the Czech King and Roman Emperor. At that time the castle held treasures of the Holy Roman Empire including the imperial crown jewels. The very special appearance of Karlštejn comes out of its step-like order of buildings, leading the visitor higher and higher when approaching the inner parts of the castle. Karlštejn is one of the symbols of the Czech Republic, a beautiful place that should definitely not be missed.

This is a two-day trip to Moravia which starts by visiting the Punkva caves - stalactical caves with an underground river and the deepest abyss in the Czech Republic - Macocha. Later on we go to Hustopeče - a nice Moravian village where we visit a wine cellar, learn something about the production of wine, have a dinner, taste different kinds of wine, dance and sing. The next day we go to a beautiful kastle – Lednice with its famous park, a bizarre prayer tower and a greenhouse which belongs among the UNESCO sights.
Kutná Hora
Kutná Hora was the centre of medieval silver mines and today it is one of the UNESCO towns in the Czech Republic. In the 2nd half of 13th century, the miners´ settlements situated near abundant deposits of silver ores changed quickly into a royal town which competed with Prague by its wealth, political and cultural influence. None of the world silver mining regions was richer until discovering of Chile. The trip consists of visiting unique Bone Church where bones of 40.000 people are stored, two really beautiful cathedrals, lunch in a medieval tavern and finally, of course, the visit of famous silver mines!
Krakow - Poland

We permanently seek to offer wide variety of clubs, music and other interesting performances.

Each team gets a game card, list of pubs and a map of Žižkov. In each pub each person has to drink a big beer. For each beer, you get a stamp on your game card. As soon as all members of one team have all stamps they need (girls 5 stamps, guys 7 stamps), they run to the finish line. The first team that crosses the finish line wins.
Paintball
Each semester you can redress to army clothes and enjoy a little bit of adrenalin for without any risk to be hurt – shots are just projectiles with paint! No special equipment or skills are needed, we provide you with everything necessary (clothes, face-guard and weapon). The only thing you need is good mood and competivity.

Cryo therapy is the application of extreme cold (-160°C) and is used to treat a number of diseases and disorders. Application time of 1 to 3 minutes also improves your immunity system. Anyway you can feel on your own this freaky temperature and have an unforgettable experience from the Czech Republic!
Ski Trip
Ski Trip is a trip that is planned for December or February. A group of students goes to enjoy snow to Janské lázně in Krkonoše and it is possible to use not just skies but also snowboards or sliders (there is also a slider track). All above mentioned equipment is available to lend at the place.
